AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma couldn’t help but vent at his side’s poor defensive record during the draw with Hellas Verona, a report claims.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports, it was a wild night at San Siro as Milan battled from two goals down to rescue a point against Hellas Verona in a game containing own-goals, deflections, disallowed goals, a missed penalty and a 93rd-minute equaliser.

Even against Hellas Verona, Milan’s attack worked well, but on the other hand Stefano Pioli’s side showed their defensive frailty yet again.
After the six goals conceded against Roma and Lille combined and the one suffered in Udine, Milan conceded another two, both from set piece situations making it six out of seven to come from dead ball situations so far this season.
The paper claims that Donnarumma vented to his defence after the goal to make it 2-0. “On the high balls they always arrive first, in the last hour we have conceded five goals,” he apparently said.
In January, the Milan management will go in search of a reinforcement for the rearguard and among the targets is Matteo Lovato, who plays for Hellas.
