GdS: Elliott give green light to outright purchase – Milan in talks over Botman

Sven Botman is AC Milan’s priority for the defence and it seems they are willing to make a significant effort to get the Dutchman to the club. Elliott Management have now opened to an outright purchase, a report claims.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have been handed the green light from owners Elliott Management. Rather than a loan formula, an outright purchase can now be made.

Lille have slapped a €30m price tag on Botman and the Rossoneri are working on lowering that figure. Being able to put a permanent purchase on the table might help, but it’s clear that it won’t be easy to convince the French side.

For that reason, Milan are also keeping tabs on a few other centre-backs, such as Diallo of PSG, Mina of Everton and Szalai of Fenerbahçe. It remains to be seen what the outcome of their centre-back pursuit will be.
