Fiorentina has emerged as a surprise potential destination for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek, according to the latest reports.
The Rossoneri signed Piatek for €38m back in January from Genoa (as per Di Marzio), where he had an outstanding first half of the 2018-19 campaign and continued his red-hot scoring form in the start to his Milan career.
However, this season that goals have somewhat dried up: the Poland international has just one goal from open play all season (plus three penalties), forcing the Milan leadership into signing a striker, which looks like being Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the arrival of Ibrahimovic could come at the expense of Piatek, whose future is more uncertain than ever.
The paper explains that his next team will not be Genoa, with a loan spell back to the Rossoblu having been mentioned as a possible option, while in the last few hours the possibility of a move to Fiorentina has emerged.
