AC Milan are not counting themselves out of the race for Davide Frattesi yet and they could use counterparts to lower the cash sum required, a report claims.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Frattesi could be the ‘X-factor’ of the window for Milan. Head coach Stefano Pioli is a big fan of the Italy international, while the management spoke about the player with his agent Giuseppe Riso.
They have not opened any talks with Sassuolo yet. There was a meeting initially scheduled for this week but it now cannot be delayed. The operation for Milan is feasible too, because Frattesi is expensive but not beyond their reach.
Lorenzo Colombo or Daniel Maldini could become part of the negotiations because both are admired by the Nerazzurri. With the inclusion of a counterpart, less than €30m will be enough as a cash sum.
Milan are thinking about it and doing so seriously, but Inter remain on pole and Marcelo Brozovic’s move to Saudi Arabia would allow them to complete everything.
Would’ve made FAR more sense if they did this and got frattesi instead of Loftus cheek as well was our other midfield targets, leaving us with 2 non EU spots letting us get Kamada on a free but I guess they’ve not got the mental capacity to figure that one out
Was excited for him before, but now if we already got RLC who is a box to box, why would we want another box to box who is even more attack oriented? Who will defend? We need a destroyer/engine in the midfield now, somebody other than krunic needs to be able to do the dirty job
Friendly reminder that there’s nothing indicating that Milan are in the Frattesi race. The owner said there were no contacts. His profile is the exact opposite of what Milan like to go for, due to being overvalued and sought after my many teams which will result in a bidding war.
Instead, they like players like the Raindeer from AZ, who hasn’t been even loaded in my Football Manager save due to being unknown. 😀
Frattesi’s agent confirmed talks with Milan and president of Sassuolo confirmed a meeting with Milan is scheduled. Of course that indicates nothing yet. At best, Furlani will probably offer 20 millions + Maldini or Colombo and they’ll laugh him out.

Good luck in hoping for Sasuolo to lower their asking price. I would prefer we focus on one target like Amrabat for that money. He is Serie A and internationally proven. This guy is a beast and even better than Kessie.
If Cardinale (Moncada/Furlani) would really want to make Milan a great team, then Frattesi, Kamada and Berardi would be already signed..
There are teams like Inter, Juve, Bayern, Liverpool who are serious and if they want someone, they make business and buy them
Then there are these amateurs (Cardinale and co) who haven’t signed a FREE PLAYER (Kamada) and Thuram
Their best thing they done is RLC so far who was their plan C (and even this deal along with Sportiello was actually made by Maldini before he was sacked 🙃)
Too expensive and for what? Unless Pioli finally lowers his stubbornness, his characteristic will not bloom in our current system.
