Gerry Cardinale and Paolo Maldini have established a good feeling together and talks are ongoing despite the fact the new owner is in America.
According to what is being reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), the return of Gerry Cardinale to Italy does not seem imminent. The founder of RedBird Capital is in fact still in the United States to take care of other business related to his fund and is not expected to come back to Milano before July.
In the meantime, contacts with Paolo Maldini remain close and almost daily. The pair immediately established an excellent feeling after the four hours spent together on the day of the signing of the contracts for the change in ownership.
It is a sign from the owners that there is no Milan future without the symbolic and operative figure of Paolo Maldini, which of course is good news in view of the renewal that should materialise in the next few days, along with that of Ricky Massara.
Just give Maldini, Massara new contracts and a 100 mil budget and all will be good

show me the money!
Instead of direct money which will make Milan breach FFP regulation, bring new sponsors worth 100m net per season.
How about extending the contracts of M&M RIGHT NOW and giving ’em the final say in player transfers. It shouldn’t be Gazidis or anyone else who’s never even played the game who makes the call. Maldini knows better who to buy/sell. For sure.
