GdS: Ibrahimovic’s signing an exception – Milan will continue with youth project

AC Milan are not willing to abandon their project of signing young players, a report claims, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic is an exception.

Milan added a number of fresh faces in the summer; namely There are some fresh faces on the field too: Theo Hernandez, Rade Krunic, Rafael Leao, Ismael Bennacer, Leo Duarte and Ante Rebic.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the six players cost a combined €90million and the oldest of them was 25, showing a clear commitment from Elliott Management to signing young players with high potential.

As the same outlet notes (via MilanNews.it), Milan have presented a serious offer to 38-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which Elliott approved.

However, the American fund are still determined to stick to their policy of signing youth, and Ibrahimovic is merely an exception based on the needs of the current squad.

Wednesday’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews.it) reported that the Swede’s signing is ‘very likely’.
