GdS: Inter star attracting interest from Man City – Milan man a potential replacement

By Oliver Fisher -

Inter could sell young defender Alessandro Bastoni this summer and they are considering a Milan centre-back to replace him, a report claims.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calcioemercato.com), Manchester City are strongly interested in signing Alessandro Bastoni once the transfer window reopens in a bid to bolster the defence available to Pep Guardiola, with winning the Champions League having become an obsession for the Citizens.

If he were to leave then Inter would generate a large capital gain that would help go towards easing their financial situation, but to replace him they would be looking for an opportunity at a low cost.

Among these could be Alessio Romagnoli, who has not yet renewed his contract with the Rossoneri which is set to expire at the end of the season. He knows the league well, is in his prime at 27 and is unlikely to command a huge salary.
