AC Milan are all set to welcome their latest summer signing as Diogo Dalot will put pen to paper on his contract today.
He joins Sandro Tonali, Brahim Diaz, Jens Petter Hauge and Ciprian Tatarusanu as being the latest summer recruit for the Rossoneri, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) the former Porto star will sign on a season-long dry loan.
However, it may not be as simple as Dalot returning to Old Trafford next summer. Instead, the deal was agreed on the basis of a simple loan so Milan could speed up his arrival without getting into delays regarding formula and fees.
The management have the intention at the moment of keeping Dalot beyond next summer and therefore they will hold talks with Manchester United during the season about the potential scope for the move to become permanent.
It is the same situation as the one that has seen Brahim Diaz arrive from Real Madrid.
Not sure why we would keep Dalot beyond this year. He barely looks to be better than Conti, let alone Calabria.
