AC Milan are set to complete the signing of Lyon defender Pierre Kalulu on Monday, according to the latest reports.

The Rossoneri have been strongly linked with a move for the right-back over the last few weeks as the club look to strengthen in what has been a problem area all season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), the pursuit of Kalulu has been a successful one. The 19-year-old will arrive on a free transfer and will sign a five-year contract with the Rossoneri, the first as a professional in his career.

The player will be in Milano on Monday to undergo medical checks. Kalulu also had an offer from Bayern Munich, but Paolo Maldini convinced him to sign for Milan, as happened with Theo Hernandez a year ago.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the operation has been carried out by Maldini and Ricky Massara, with the approval of every Milan scout. Kalulu will sign a five-year deal with the Rossoneri, being the first signing for the youth revolution.
