GdS: Milan and Juventus remain observant of Zaniolo’s situation at Roma

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Juventus are still watching the situation surrounding Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo as he has not yet renewed his deal, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), Zaniolo has arrived at a crossroads in his career given his current deal with Roma is expiring in 2024, and there were tentative attempts from both Juventus and Milan in July.

Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto spoke several times with Claudio Vigorelli, the player’s agent, but the frequent meetings between the two have not so far led to substantial updates. New contacts are expected shortly, but the financial aspect is soon to be clarified.

Roma are willing to give him a pay rise to reflect his importance but at the moment no official offer has been forthcoming and the negotiations may still take a long time because everyone wants to have more guarantees.

Juventus and Milan have taken other paths for the moment, but it cannot be ruled out that they will go back in for Zaniolo further down the line, potentially next summer.

  2. Please don’t. This guy is terrible even when he is healthy. All he does is dive and try to draw penalties. Most overrated player in Serie A.
