AC Milan are close to being able to announce an agreement with Emirates regarding an extension of their sponsorship deal, a report claims.
The sporting season may have stopped due to Coronavirus, but Milan and in particular CEO Ivan Gazidis can not afford to do the same. As such, the South African is working to secure various sponsorship and commercial deals ahead of what is an important summer for the club financially.
According to Tuesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), Gazidis is working on the final details of the renewal with the club’s primary sponsor – the airline Emirates.
The paper claims that the announcement regarding the agreement will occur shortly, and the deal will provide for lower revenues for Milan than the current one because of poor sporting results.
As always, there will be a fixed part and another variable part linked to the various objectives which the club will compete for on the field, such as reaching European competition.
