AC Milan have two targets on their wish list as they look to reinforce their defensive department in January, a report claims.
According to Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), confirmations have arrived regarding Milan’s interest in Hellas Verona’s 20-year-old centre-back Matteo Lovato, with an enquiry having been made by the Milan management.
Lovato came through the youth system at Genoa but has begun to thrive in Verona, who value him at around €15million with the youngster having appeared in all five of the Gialloblu’s Serie A games this season, putting an impressive display in Sunday’s 1-1 draw away against Juventus.
The paper also adds that Ozan Kabak of Schalke 04 is a target, but what filters from Germany is not good news. The Bundesliga club want to keep Kabak long term and as such have set a €35m asking price, which is far too much for Milan especially with rumoured competition from Liverpool.
