GdS: Milan eye versatile Roma man and €10m Wigan star to replace outgoing defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have two names on their shortlist of potential replacements for Ricardo Rodriguez, a report claims, with the full-back all set to leave.

We reported earlier this morning via our mercato expert Vito Angele that Rodriguez is close to sealing his departure. The Swiss international is on the verge of a move to Napoli after his proposed switch to Fenerbahce collapsed.

There are still the final details to resolve, but the Swiss international will reunite with Gattuso in Naples, with the pair having worked together at San Siro last season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – Milan are now in the market to try and find a replacement for Rodriguez and a new back-up for Theo Hernandez.

The paper claims that Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban have two names in mind: namely Antonee Robinson of Wigan and Juan Jesus of Roma.

MilanNews.it recently claimed that the Championship side are demanding at least €10m for USA international Robinson, while Juan Jesus has made just four appearances in all competitions for the Giallorossi this season.
