GdS: Milan in talks with entourage of Santos teenager who is eager to join

AC Milan have held positive talks with the entourage of Santos winger Gabriel Santos ahead of a possible future deal, a report claims.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, Milan really like Angelo Gabriel del Santos. The Rossoneri management spoke to the agents of the right winger, also establishing that the player would be open to the move.

In fact, Gabriel – who can play on either wing and has 1 goal plus 7 assists in 55 league games for Santos – would come to Milan in a hurry. If a deal were agreed, the Rossoneri can afford to do the operation because he would be occupying one of the two slots as a non-EU player by 30 June.

The 18-year-old scored his first professional goal on 6 April 2021 in a 3–1 Copa Libertadores away win against San Lorenzo, aged 16 years, 3 months and 16 days, breaking Juan Carlos Cárdenas’ record and becoming the youngest player ever to score in a Libertadores match.

  1. “has 1 goal plus 7 assists in 55 league games”

So… Another Saelemaekers who cannot score. Yeah, that’s eeeeeexactly what we need, eh?

    1. The kid just turned 18 a week ago and has played 55 games vs. grown men.
When you spend money on such a young player, you are doing it for what he will do, not what he has done.
Finishing is something you can learn and improve on.
The important thing is whether he has physical talent or not.
If you have that, everything else can be taught if the player is willing to learn and improve.

        1. What about Lazetic?
Lazetic only played a handful of games for the Red Star Belgrade senior team, and they were of the bench . So he was basically bought of their youth system.
This kid has played over 50 games for the senior team.
Kalulu played 0 games for Lyon senior team, and he was 20 years old when Milan signed him.

        1. Milan cannot only buy players who may or may not turn into decent players in 3-5 years. They need a RW & trequartista who is capable of helping the team NOW. Or do you actually think Diaz, CDK, Krunic, Saelemaekers & Messias are good enough for Milan to be able to get the 2nd scudetto and beat Spurs in UCL? Are you THAT delusional?
