AC Milan do not have any plans to intervene in the January transfer window after Mike Maignan’s latest injury, according to a report.
Milan could end up bidding farewell to both Ciprian Tatarusanu and Antonio Mirante at the end of the season, two experienced goalkeepers who have been there in times of need while remaining firmly behind Maignan when fully fit.

However, Tatarusanu has also raised some doubts during his recent starts because he is not as mobile as the Frenchman, nor is he as good at commanding his area nor with building out from the back, so there has been speculation about a younger deputy being signed potentially as early as January.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), Maignan will be out until after the World Cup in Qatar and Pioli opened to the hypothesis that Mirante might be used as well as Tatarusanu.
However, there is a certainty: Milan will not intervene on the market in January. Maignan will be ready to go in the new year and the management see no need to sign an additional keeper.

Tatarusanu is so shaky, unsecure,he bring panic in defence when ever he touch the ball,he doesnt even jump to catch a ball from corner kicks, never, jungdal can’t be worse than him for sure,i can’t understand why they forcing him on goal
Good question, but pioli chose him
That decision just lost Milan the scudetto. Tatar is just not good enough across the board. He’s significantly weak in a number of areas, particularly positioning, footwork and ball distribution. He makes the entire back line look shaky.
He just isn’t reliable to be the starter for more than a few games. He will cost Milan points and that will eventually cost Milan the scudetto.
I understand it comes down to lack of funds, but it’s crappy to end the season in October.
Wow… relax.
Mike will be back.
Never heard someone say there team has lost the scudetto 10 games in because they aren’t signing a new back up keeper in a January transfer window.
Joey, how many points were there between Milan and Inter last year? 2 pts. That’s one less win and Milan doesn’t win the championship.
Mike will be back in 2023. Tatar will single handedly drop more than 3 pts for the rest of 2022. Last year it was only a few games. This year, it’s more games.
Never mind that Mike’s injury helped lead Milan out of CL last year and unfortunately, this year too most likely.
Milan need a real backup at GK. Not Lurch, not Mirante, these guys are cheap 3rd stringers.
Besides, it appears Mike is quite injury prone.
“Mike will be back in 2023” – yeh January not freaking April.
