GdS: Milan look at Man Utd and Man City for right-back options – the details

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are now considering options from both Manchester United and Manchester City in their hunt for a new right-back who can provide depth behind Davide Calabria.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), the Rossoneri are starting to think up alternatives to Emerson Royal as they are struggling to agree on terms with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Brazilian has got an agreement on personal terms and appears to be keen on making the move to Italy, but Tottenham are demanding around €25m as that is what they paid for him in 2021. Milan have only offered €15m and some bonuses. There is also interest from Al Nassr to contend with.

With that big gap in valuation to contend with, Milan must think about looking elsewhere and the search has kept them within the Premier League, but taken them north to Manchester.

Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka has an uncertain future with players like Denzel Dumfries and Jeremie Frimpong being linked with Erik ten Hag’s side. If they make a signing of that nature, Wan-Bissaka would be available.

At Man City, there is the younger Issa Kabore who has been on loan at Troyes and Marseille in recent seasons, as well as Luton. He does not appear to have a future with Pep Guardiola and his agent is exploring the options available.

  1. Kabore is definitely a good profile, left to be seen if we can arm-twist Manchester City to agree with our offer for him. Dude is good and a very good offensive upgrade to Calabria. Definitely Milan quality.

  2. Just stick to Kalulu. He is very capable. We also have Jimenez who can play both flanks. That money should go towards a quality CF.
