GdS: Milan’s month and a half at Scudetto pace – the numbers

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan have been recovering well in recent weeks and are operating at a very similar level to Inter and Juventus at the top of Serie A.

As highlighted byLa Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan’s form has picked up in recent weeks to the sort of level that would be expected of a Scudetto challenger, rather than a team fighting for a top-four spot.

Having started the season so well, looking like potential favourites for the Scudetto, Milan then hit a very rough patch of form and Inter and Juventus were able to streak away at the top of the table.

In the past seven matches in Serie A, Milan have managed to collect 16 points from five wins, one draw and one defeat.

That is only one point less than Inter and Juventus have both taken in the same number of games, showing that Milan have recovered from their dip in form. Milan also have the second-best attack in Serie A.

The mission now is to start earning more points than Inter and Juventus as they are nine points behind the Nerazzurri and seven points behind the Bianconeri.

Milan have been showing Scudetto form in the past month and a half, but they are already playing catchup to their biggest rivals.
