Rafael Leao has been heavily praised in La Gazzetta dello Sport’s player ratings for his performance in Saturday’s win over Torino.
The newspaper (via MilanLive) gave the Portuguese striker a 7 out of 10 as he was the author of a lightning goal and many good plays. He is joined on the pedastal by Simon Kjaer who also got a 7 for once again being leader in the centre of defense.
Theo Hernandez also did well and was back to his near-best after some mistakes against Juve. He scored a 7 and it was the same score for Brahim Diaz, who got a lovely assist and in general put in probably his best start in a Milan shirt.
It was a 6.5 for Donnarumma, who is praised for a great save on Segre right at the end of the game. Davide Calabria and captain Alessio Romagnoli received the same mark.
Nobody scored below a 6 for Milan but Sandro Tonali did get that score as he did not look in top condition and received a nasty bruise that knocked him out. Jens Petter Hauge – more busy in the non-possession phase than in creating something – got a 6 too.
