GdS: Milan player ratings for win over Bologna – Calhanoglu gets special praise; Kjaer wobbles

By Oliver Fisher -

Hakan Calhanoglu was once again voted as Milan’s best player on the pitch in La Gazzetta dello Sport’s player ratings following the 5-1 win over Bologna.

The paper gave the Turkey international a score of 7.5 out of 10 as he was at the heart of almost everything the Rossoneri created and he netted his fifth goal since the return of Serie A.

A few players received a mark of 7 including Theo Hernandez, who eliminated the dangerous Orsolini, as well as the impressive midfield duo of Kessie and Bennacer. Saelemaekers got his first goal for the club and received a 7, as did Ante Rebic.

There were high marks also for Zlatan Ibrahimovic: despite the controversy with Pioli when he was subbed off, the Swede was decisive and leader again, on and off the pitch.

The substitutes Bonaventura, Krunic and Leao even got a 6.5 out of 10, while Simon Kjaer was the lowest scorer with a 6 as he appeared a bit more shaky than normal, but far from a disaster.
