GdS: Milan player ratings from Roma win – Rebic and Kessie stand out among lots of positives

By Oliver Fisher -

Ante Rebic was the man of the match for AC Milan during their 2-1 win over Roma on Sunday night, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The paper (via MilanLive) have published their player ratings for the Rossoneri from last night’s win, and the team managed to buck the recent trend as most secured positive scores. A 7 out of 10 was awarded to Rebic, who turned into a man of providence by becoming a ‘relentless sniper’ in front of goal and a great job on the flanks.

It was the same score for Franck Kessie, the other goal scorer. His performance was characterised by physical and tactical power in midfield. Davide Calabria and Alexis Saelemaekers both got a 6.5 for their outings on the right, while Theo Hernandez and a very attentive Simon Kjaer got the same.

Fikayo Tomori was also awarded a 6.5 as the English defender made no mistakes and proved to have great speed as well as physicality. Sandro Tonali got a 6 and was less shy than usual, while Gianluigi Donnarumma plus the substitutes Krunic, Diaz and Leao all got a 6.

Finally, a score 5.5 for the two offensive leaders in Hakan Calhanoglu and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Turk is still far from his standards, while Ibra missed three clear scoring chances.
