GdS: Milan players ratings for draw vs. Roma – Leao exceptional but three players score low

By Oliver Fisher -

Rafael Leao was given the plaudits by newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport in their player ratings for the 3-3 draw with Roma.

The man of the match according to the newspaper (via MilanLive) was Leao, who scored a 7 out of 10 after providing two excellent assists for Milan’s first two goals of the night and terrorising the Roma defence at times.

Alexis Saelemaekers received the same score as his winger partner as he was ‘above all very useful on a tactical level’ as well as helping Milan get forward in transition.

A number of players got a 6.5 out of 10 included Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored another brace and dominated the aerial duels, and Davide Calabria who kept Spinazzola at bay, while Franck Kessie was ‘the usual rock’ in the middle of the field.

It was a score of 6 for Simon Kjaer, Theo Hernandez and Hakan Calhanoglu, who looked half fit given his recent ankle problem. A rusty Romagnoli and a more troubled Bennacer than usual did not convince and were scored 5.5

The worst player on the pitch was Ciprian Tatarusanu, who made an error on Dzeko’s goal and showed that he does not offer the same guarantees, scoring a 5.
