AC Milan have come in for plenty of praise after what was a superb Champions League night under the lights at San Siro against Paris Saint-Germain and a vital three points in the battle to stay in the Champions League.
As has been highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), this is the sort of night at San Siro that the fans have not experienced so far this season, with the team performing well and winning in a huge game when they really had to get a result.
A defeat for Milan would not have mathematically eliminated them from the group stage, but it would have taken an extremely specific set of circumstances for the Rossoneri to progress.
As it now turns out, two wins will be enough to see Milan into the round of 16, those games being away at Newcastle and home to Borussia Dortmund.
The team will certainly be feeling much more confident after a night like this one.
