GdS: Milan to meet father of playmaker in bid to put pressure on Real Madrid

AC Milan want to sign Brahim Diaz on a permanent deal and they will hold a meeting with his father today, according to a report.

As reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the father of Brahim Diaz – Sufiel Abdelkader – should go to visit Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara today.

The meeting should serve to confirm the mutual esteem between Brahim and Milan, given that Stefano Pioli continues to use him in the biggest games has never hidden his desire to be able to keep him.

The player would also like to stay and is expected to communicate that to the club through his father, but Brahim’s future is inextricably linked to what Real Madrid will decide to do as well.

It seems as though Los Blancos are not willing to promise him a leading role and instead could bring him back to the Spanish capital to then sell for a higher price.

For this reason, after today’s meeting scheduled between Milan and Diaz’s father, they will try to sit down at the table with Florentino Perez’s club as well to agree on a the option to buy before the loan expires, beating the competition.

The feeling is that an agreement can be found at around €22m, and the meeting with Abdelkader could be to certify an agreement between the two parties that could be of help in the negotiation with Real.

With player and Rossoneri united on their plan for the future and certain of wanting to continue together, Real Madrid could have their hands tied and would be led to find a solution with Maldini and Massara to avoid major problems.
