GdS: Milan player ratings for Monza win – only one flop as several players shine

It was a good evening for AC Milan at San Siro last night, beating Monza by four goals to one in front of their fantastic fans. Several players did really well but there was also one flop, as a report highlights.

The Rossoneri claimed three important points in the Scudetto race and also got a much-needed confidence boost ahead of the deciding Champions League clashes. Brahim Diaz was the big hero with a brace, followed by goals from Divock Origi and Rafael Leao.

Gazzetta Dello Sport has taken stock of the individual performances and several AC Milan players were praised (via SempreMilan). Diaz was the man of the match, to no one’s surprise, with a rating of 8/10.

The Spaniard was followed by Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer, Junior Messias, Divock Origi and Rafael Leao, who all got a 7/10. They were all instrumental in getting Milan the three points.

Ciprian Tatarusanu, Sergino Dest, Fikayo Tomori, Tommaso Pobega and Pierre Kalulu fell just short of the big praise at 6.5. Simon Kjaer, who made his return from injury, just about did enough to get a pass at 6 (same rating for Gabbia).

Ante Rebic was a bit disappointing as he committed too many errors, per the newspaper, and thus got a rating of 5.5. The big flop, however, was Charles De Ketelaere at 5 as he completely failed to impose himself.
