GdS: Milan ready one final push for Correa; Maldini holds talks

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are readying one final push for Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa, according to one journalist.

We revealed back in July that personal terms had been agreed with Correa on a five-year deal, but as of yet no deal has been struck between the two sides over a transfer fee.

La Gazzetta dello Sport stated last week that Milan and Atletico ‘have never been so far apart’ in negotiations, and it has been suggested that the Rossoneri are looking at other targets.

Calciomercato.com recently claimed that Memphis Depay, Everton Soares, Christian Kouame and Mariano Diaz are alternative targets.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter, Milan are readying one more assault for Correa on Sunday, with personal terms agreed with the player.

Paolo Maldini spoke with the player’s agent Augustin Jimenez earlier in the morning, he adds.

Meanwhile, Calciomercato.com journalist Daniele Longo also stated on Twitter that it is a difficult operation, but that a final bid is being prepared by the Rossoneri.
