GdS: Milan register interest in €40m Chelsea winger – Pioli and the player support move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have another potential market operation in mind involving Chelsea as Hakim Ziyech is a target, according to a report.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports (via MilanNews), Milan are looking to secure a ‘trio of aces’ from the Premier League side after Fikayo Tomori and striker Olivier Giroud, as the Rossoneri have interest in the Moroccan attacking midfielder Ziyech.

Ziyech could leave London just a year after his arrival for €40m from Ajax. He earns €7m net per season at Chelsea but in recent months his relationship with Thomas Tuchel has become strained, as the German coach has given him little space during a triumphant season.

Stefano Pioli likes the 27-year-old a lot as Ziyech would bring quality and international experience, and would guarantee the coach more solutions in attack thanks to his flexibility. Napoli are also interested, however the Moroccan international would prefer Milan over Naples as per the paper.

  1. If we can acquire him on a loan I am fine with it, otherwise no, high price and salary out of our range. Don’t see where we are going to get the money for this operation if we can’t find the money to get R De Paul for the same price :Þ
