GdS: Milan relying on Pioli’s resilience, Leao and the ‘K Factor’ against Man Utd

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will face ‘a test of strength’ this evening as they battle Manchester United with an injury-depleted squad.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are a solid team with very clear ideas and will attempt to spring yet another surprise, just as they have done many times in the last year. Of course, it will not be easy to face the Red Devils without the big names, but the Rossoneri know how to prevail in difficulties.

Head coach Stefano Pioli has shown several times that he knows how to cope with emergency situations, and the more difficult it seems, the more he succeeds. He knows the strengths and weaknesses of the squad and knows how to guide it wisely, something that he must be commended for.

Pioli will count on the veteran Simon Kjaer and the midfield dynamism of Franck Kessie – therefore the ‘K Factor’ and two pillars in the team. Then, the weight of the attack is all on Rafael Leao’s shoulders.
