There are ongoing negotiations over the renewal of Ismael Bennacer but a distance remains between offer and demand, a report claims.
Among the objectives of the Milan management this summer is to reward key players in the squad for their performances during the Scudetto winning campaign by giving them contract extensions and also pay rises too, to protect the core of players for the future.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Bennacer is among the players that Milan intend to try and get to commit to a new contract and the negotiations have been underway for some time.
However, for now there is still a certain distance between the amount that Milan have put forward and the demands of the player and his entourage. Currently the Algerian earns €1.5m net per season, while the Rossoneri have offered a pay rise to €3.5m per year to try and get his signature.
