GdS: Milan one of many top clubs linked with promising Lille defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are one of many big European sides that are linked with a move for Lille defender Tiago Djalo, who used to play for the Rososneri.

As reported by the print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Portuguese defender is still recovering from a knee injury but it may not be long until he is on the pitch again.

Many clubs are waiting for that moment as they try to see whether he would be a good purchase. He is out of contract at the end of the season but the idea of a January move is not impossible.

Inter have been linked with him in the past and could still be in the frame for more young defensive depth. Similarly, Juventus have expressed their interest in the past.

Milan had the 23-year-old on the books in the past but he was used as part of the deal to bring Rafael Leao to the club. Now, with defensive depth an issue, a return to Milan is on the cards.

All three Serie A clubs should beware the interest of Barcelona, though, who have also shown interest in Djalo.
