GdS: Milan trying to unlock Kabak deal but Chelsea man is the alternative – the formula

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still trying to unlock the deal which would see Ozan Kabak join from Schalke on deadline day but an alternative is ready.

According to Monday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the two remaining options for the Rossoneri in terms of centre-back reinforcements are Kabak and Rudiger.

For the former, Milan are hard at work trying to reach an agreement with Schalke. In the last few hours, the Milan management have begun work to close the €5m gap between offer and demand with the German club.

However, the Rossoneri considers Rudiger an alternative to Kabak and they would not both arrive, since after the break, Romagnoli and probably also Duarte should return, so the team needs only one defender.

The Milan management would have in mind to offer Chelsea a loan with option to buy, a formula that could be accepted, but it is to be determined how to resolve the salary of the player, who receives €5m net per season.
