GdS: Milan want to strengthen three more areas after De Ketelaere – the targets

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are aiming to wrap up a deal for Charles De Ketelaere and then they will focus on reinforcing three other positions, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms that De Ketelaere is the player Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are focusing on, but then they know they must recruit a trio for other areas, namely a central midfielder to replace Franck Kessie, a central defender to replace Alessio Romagnoli and a right winger.

Midfield: The first choice target for the midfield Renato Sanches, but the Portuguese’s preference for PSG means the Rossoneri management are not too optimistic despite the agreement in principle with Lille, therefore it is possible that they will turn to other objectives like Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz.

Defence: For the centre-back role the preferred profile remains that of Abdou Diallo of PSG, though it is dependant on the right conditions and formula.

Right wing: Hakim Ziyech is the priority, but the track has cooled a bit because of the difficulty in finding the right formula with Chelsea. Nicolo Zaniolo and Paulo Dybala are less concrete, at least as long as the De Ketelaere operation remains in play.

  1. Seems like Milan Mercato is over with the following signings

    1. Florenzi
    2. Messias
    3. Adil
    4. Pobega

And on the last day of the Mercato announce the renewal of Leoa.

I will allow the onwers take me for a ride this time

    1. Not yet, the squad currently have 19 non-homegrown first team player, only 17 of them can be registered for UCL squad. Releasing Bakayoko and Replacing Tatarusanu with Plizari might work, but if Milan buy CdK, they will need to bring at least one homegrown player to replace another non-homegrown (probably Ballo-Toure).

  2. This is a world cup year, with UCL duty, depth is everything. Just buy somebody. There is no single confirmed purchase from this offseason plus losing Kessie and Romagnoli for free. Hard to believe this team is getting better by far, fans are fooled by these US investors.

  3. Just get Berardi for the RW role and see who else we can get. I doubt that ANY of the current transfer targets will come.

Time for plan Bs and Cs. And perhaps D too.

  4. Just finish CDK first next week. Redbird still not full owner because elliot still own 30 percent AC Milan. If elliot still there mean we will go tight budget for their higher capital gain

  5. No Italians?

We need Italians to fit a quota or Milan end up in crap.

Grab Parisi(LB) and Viti (CB) from Empoi. Get rid if Ballo-Toure.

  6. The frugality within AC Milan must stop. Di Mario is now Juventus bound and instead of us to sign Ziyech, Dybala, De Ketelaere and Noa Lang we continue to rely on inexperienced players. In a serious match you could see how Pogba and co will help their teams win. The only top player we have secured is Divock Origi. If care is not taken we will slip from first place to 3rd behind Juventus and Inter Milan.

  7. am surprise by those management so calling maldini and Masada u can’t given us new face always u want pooling us 30m euro player fast our economic what are we going to achieved in UCL
