GdS: Milan’s interest in Fiorentina star is concrete but obstacle of price must be overcome

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to try their best to land Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina this summer but it will not be an easy pursuit, a report claims.

There is an abundance of speculation in the media at the moment suggesting that the Rossoneri management are determined to sign a new centre-forward once the mercato reopens, and Vlahovic is a name that has been linked on several occasions.

However, according to what is reported by today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SpazioMilan), the affair promises to be more intricate than expected. Vlahovic could himself be an ally in negotiations as the Serbia international has no intention of renewing his contract with Fiorentina, which expires in 2023.

On the other hand, however, the requests of La Viola cannot be ignored as they know that they have a fantastic talent on their hands and for this reason their starting request at the moment is €40m.

  1. How is money a problem if they are going to come into a €350M windfall from joining the Super-League? Best to start upgrading the talent of this team before anyone else gets there hands on these players because we are about mid-table from what I’ve seen so far and it’ll only get worse when you consider everyone else is going to have cash at their disposal to start buying Mbappe, Haaland, Sancho, etc.
