GdS: Milan’s interest in Marseille star intensifies again due to reduced cost of operation

By Oliver Fisher -

After things seemed to have cooled in recent weeks, the track leading to Florian Thauvin appears to be heating up for Milan again.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the French winger is under contract with Marseille until June and while his club would like to persuade him to stay, Thauvin is willing to leave the club and the idea of a move to Milan would particularly intrigue him.

The request for a salary of €4m net per season had scared the Rossoneri management, but from the entourage of Thauvin an opening signal would have arrived as the player would be willing to grant a discount on his salary requests, and the commissions would also be reduced.

Thauvin’s change of heart has therefore given new strength to Milan, who have long been on the trail of the 28-year-old, and qualifying for the Champions League could also make the difference in this negotiation.
