GdS: Milan’s performance one of maturity and concreteness as they overcome two obstacles

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan managed to navigate two big hurdles in order to record a statement win over Hellas Verona at the Bentegodi.

Milan took the lead late in the first half through a sublime free-kick from Rade Krunic, while early in the second half the Rossoneri made their lead a commanding one through another unlikely source as Diogo Dalot surged into the box and finished emphatically.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport writes (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri managed to overcome two big obstacles in order to emerge victorious. The first is the fact they had so many players missing through injury such as Theo Hernandez, Bennacer, Rebic, Ibrahimovic, Calhanoglu and Mandzukic. The second is that the team were far from their most confident going into the fixture having taken just four points from their last four league games prior to the game.

The reaction though was evident as Milan provided a performance of maturity and concreteness, bringing home the three points and thus resuming their exceptional away form.
