GdS: Milan’s probable XI vs. Udinese – Begovic and Kjaer to start; Calhanoglu back in

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is set to stick with the 4-4-2 system once again as his side welcome Udinese to San Siro on Sunday.

The Rossoneri will be looking to build on two good performances back-to-back after a frustrating goalless draw against Sampdoria, with that result having been followed up by 2-0 and 3-0 wins against Cagliari and SPAL respectively.

Milan will also be looking to exact a bit of revenge when they welcome Udinese to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, as the Bianconeri prevailed 1-0 in the opening game of the season to give Marco Giampaolo the worst possible start to his time as boss.

According to Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Asmir Begovic will get his full debut between the sticks as Gianluigi Donnarumma continues to recover from a thigh injury.

Andrea Conti and Simon Kjaer – set for his league debut for Milan – will keep their places from the win on Wednesday, with Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez also in the side.

Samu Castillejo will be on the right while Hakan Calhanoglu returns on the left as Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer return to the midfielder, and Rafael Leao will be up top with Zlatan Ibrahimovic again after both scored in Sardegna.
