Referee Rosario Abisso has been criticised for making a major error during the game between AC Milan and Torino last night.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) have broken down the contentious incidents in the game starting with the goal in the 67th minute for Junior Messias. The Brazilian was positioned behind Alessandro Buongiorno and reached out to push the defender off balance while seeing that goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić had come off his line.

The error is mainly the fault of the VAR room where Gianluca Aureliano was present, as he respected the choice of the referee even though – as per the paper – the goal seemed to be a foul from Messias.
For Torino’s second goal both Pietro Pellegri and Nikola Vlašić were in an offside position as a ball came over, but there was no offside to give for the goal because they did not interfere with play and were back onside for the next phase.
Finally, the paper says there was no penalty in the 91st minute from the free-kick that struck the Torino wall as they all had their arms and hands adherent to their body.
How the f did Pellegri not interfere? He jumped with Gabbia and due to that Gabbia misjudged the header and the ball ended up at the opponent who scored. Obvious offside, I was shocked it wasn’t given. Giroud was on his back on the ground against Napoli and they said he interfered, how is this not interference?
It can’t be offside.
It’s a free kick so the offside rule doesn’t work in this case.

you are mixing it with goal kick. There is no offside for goal kick, but there is for free kick.
I’m more interested in what the rule for for handball before the build up to the goal was. Because Gabbia handled the ball which fell directly into the path of the opponent who scored. Is that a play on or a play which affected the outcome/ goal? I guess it’s a play on as it would be like a foul which was not called leading up to a goal🤷♂️
Honestly my only complaint with the ref was the amount of time wasting he let Torino get away with. That bs is ruining the game.
Well even if the ref is at fault, we had our B-Team playing because we lacked depth in quality and have to stretch ourselves thin for the past couple of something games, because we didn’t have enough money from sales of players to generate income, because we couldn’t negotiate properly from the start of the season for quality players to come even after we just won scudetto, because we need a good marketing team, but also maybe just because we should accept the fact that some times maybe good and sometimes maybe s.h.i.t.
