GdS: Pioli to name unchanged XI for Milan’s encounter with Verona

Contrary to previous reports, Stefano Pioli won’t be making any changes to the starting XI for AC Milan’s game against Hellas Verona tomorrow evening. Consistency is what he has opted for, in other words.

During the week, some sources have suggested that Junior Messias and/or Ante Rebic could get the chance from start against Verona. However, as per Gazzetta Dello Sport, the XI won’t change from the 2-0 defeat against Chelsea.

This means that Olivier Giroud will keep his spot up front, while Brahim Diaz will be the ‘makeshift’ right-winger. The latter actually did well against Chelsea (subbed off after the red card), but the striker’s performance was criticised.

In any case, Pioli wants his side to bounce back with a strong performance and keep up with Napoli. The Partenopei will play just before Milan’s clash and the outcome of that will be interesting to follow.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Gabbia, Tomori, Hernandez; Krunic, Bennacer, Tonali; Diaz, Giroud, Leao.
