GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Lazio – two changes from win against Inter

AC Milan will be aiming to make it into the semi-finals for the fifth time in the last seven years tonight when they face Lazio at San Siro tonight, and team news is filtering on the day of the game.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) Mike Maignan will be in goal with Davide Calabria expected to play over Alessandro Florenzi at right-back. Pierre Kalulu and captain Alessio Romagnoli will be in the centre, with Theo Hernandez at left-back to complete the department.

Franck Kessie will return to the double pivot and alongside him Sandro Tonali is expected to start ahead of Ismael Bennacer. In attack Olivier Giroud should be the striker supported by a trident of Junior Messias on the right, Rafael Leao on the left and Brahim Diaz as the No.10.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Messias, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

Probable Lazio (4-3-3): Pepe Reina; Hysaj, Luiz Felipe, Patric, Adam Marusic; Luis Alberto, Leiva, Milinkovic-Savic; Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni.

  1. Please we need to understand the decision of the coach to field Kessie. He is still better in the midfield than Baka and Krunic. Bennacer and Tonali can alternate but Kessie needs to work his contract out since we cant get any penny from his sales anymore
