Although the game took place early last week, there is still talk about the derby between Milan and Inter, but not so much about the game. Instead, a lot of focus has been put on the Zlatan Ibrahimovic-Romelu Lukaku brawl.

As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Ibrahimovic had a one-hour meeting with FIGC’s federal prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné yesterday. The topic of discussion, of course, was the brawl with Lukaku.
The Swede explained the words he said and also made it very clear that racism doesn’t have a place in his world. He did provoke Lukaku, but he didn’t violate article 28 of the sports justice code, which prevents attacks based on ethnic background etc.
The offending sentence was the one about ‘voodoo’, but Ibrahimovic explained that he referred to a well-known situation that caused headlines in England in 2017. And he had the newspapers to back this up, thus now clear of the racism allegations.
