CM: Optimism filters as Milan continue to pursue Marseille star – the offer

By Isak Möller -

Milan are always looking for opportunities on the transfer market and with the summer right around the corner, the focus is on free transfers. And given their form, they are in a better position to convince players.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Florian Thauvin has decided not to renew with Marseille and Milan are in talks with his agent over a move. In fact, optimism is filtering from the negotiations as they continue on the right path.

The Rossoneri have a very clear goal of signing a right-winger and Thauvin has been their main target for a long time. A profile that both for Frederic Massara, who had also treated him in his previous experience at Roma, and the manager Stefano Pioli like.

They have put a four-year deal worth around €2.8m per year on the table, and an agreement isn’t far off. The main obstacle is the commissions that Thauvin’s agent will get, but once again, optimism is filtering overall.
