Ardon Jashari is expected to be out for a couple of months due to the fibula fracture he suffered in training on Friday. As such, AC Milan are currently making a new plan for the midfield.
As highlighted by Gazzetta dello Sport this morning (see photo at the bottom), Jashari waited two months to join Milan due to the lengthy negotiations with Club Brugge. Now, however, he will have to wait at least another two months to help the Rossoneri.

The serious injury suffered in training yesterday, which Max Allegri first confirmed and then the club, is a huge blow for all parties involved. At the very least, the Swiss international won’t undergo surgery, with conservative therapy chosen instead.
Expected recovery times
According to the pink newspaper, it’s hard to make any predictions at this time but based on the initial diagnosis, Jashari should be out for two months. There’s also a precent that Milan are referring to: Federico Gatti. Indeed, the Juve defender suffered the same injury at the end of March.
How long did it take for him, you ask? Not even two months, as he was back on the bench on May 10. However, his situation was a little different as Juventus needed him for the season finale, prompting them to ‘rush’ the recovery a bit.
Seeing as we are now at the start of the season, therefore, Milan won’t take the same risks with Jashari. There are also some international breaks to consider, which means he won’t miss as many games.
What happens now?
Without the Swiss international, Milan have been forced to re-evaluate their plan for the midfield. Yunus Musah was on the verge of joining Atalanta, but due to the injury, the move has been blocked for now.
Luka Modric, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Youssouf Fofana, Samuele Ricci and Musah are the current midfielders, as such, and one could argue that’s enough. Indeed, as the newspaper continues, Musah’s chances of staying in Milan are significantly increasing.
If the Rossoneri were to proceed with the sale anyway, it should be remembered that they still have Ismael Bennacer and Yacine Adli on their books. It’s not out of the question that one of them, probably the Frenchman, could be reinstated for numerical reasons.
Milan are also keeping an eye on Adrien Rabiot, who is an Allegri favourite, but the €15m price tag is holding them back a bit. Furthermore, the midfielder himself hasn’t given his full availability to a move yet.
I’m not a Yunus Musah fan all things considered (he is very athletic, but lacks vision). That being said, it must be very tough for him to be in this situation. Never really valued, now Allegri saw something in him, then the management decided to sell him, now he won’t be sold for purely numerical numbers (nothing to do with him being a good player) and yet he starts the match today. Of course as a professional you should be trusted to deliver anyway. But damn, at 22 years old it must be so difficult to give it all tonight. I actually hope he does really well. He deserves it.
