GdS: Renato Sanches closer to joining Milan as €12m bid is launched – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are pushing to close a deal for Renato Sanches and all signs point towards him being Franck Kessie’s replacement, a report claims.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) report that Renato Sanches is getting closer and closer to joining the Rossoneri. Milan will have no issues in finding an agreement with Lille over transfer fee having offered €12m and with €15m the demands of the Ligue 1 club due to his contract situation.

For Milan it is more important to first find an agreement with the player who, in recent months, was asking for a salary of €6m net per season. However, in recent weeks the talks with his agent Jorge Mendes have brought those requests down to around €4m per year on a four-year deal.

The negotiation has entered its crucial phase and there seems to be a great desire to close the operation in a short time, while Sanches would like to close the conversation as soon as possible to enjoy his summer holidays.

  1. Getting him for below 15 mil on a salary bellow 5 mil a year would be a masterpiece by Maldini & Co.
He is the player i am the most excited about from all the rumored names supposedly coming in.
If he stays mostly healthy and that’s a big IF given his history, he will be top 3 midfielders in Italy. No one is like him in the league. Strong, fast, physical, with good vision and technique . Plays like he is a fusion of 2 former great Milan midfielders Clarence Seedorf & Edgar Davids

  2. He actually did sir. He moved from Ajax to Milan. Played at Milan for only 1 year , didn’t fit Capello’s plans and Milan sold him to Juventus.
Davids & Patrick Viera are probably the only players that Milan gave up on, that went on to become great players

      1. Yes. You are right. I totally forgot about Aubameyang . Not a lot of players that leave Milan go on to become great players at other clubs.
