GdS: Roma midfielder a concrete target for Milan – enquiry lodged with his agent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in bringing midfielder Bryan Cristante back to the club from Roma in the summer, according to a report.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), it is not yet an open negotiation with Roma, but Cristante is more than an idea for the Rossoneri as they look to bolster the midfield so much so that they have enquired with the player’s agent, Giuseppe Riso.

Cristante is under contract with Roma until 30 June 2024 and currently earns €1.8m net per season. José Mourinho does not want to lose a player he considers to be important, but the Italy international is tempted by the possibility of playing in the Champions League for the club where he came through the academy.

An offer of €25m would make the Giallorossi think, while the eventual arrival of Cristante would not exclude the Renato Sanches operation being complete with Lille either because both Franck Kessie and Tiemoue Bakayoko are likely to need replacing.

  1. He’ll be very expensive and overpriced at €25m.
I think he’s not worth more than €15m.
    He’s already 27yrs now.

  2. Not very enthusiastic about this one. Specially since we already have Pobega and Adli who I think are both better than Cristante at the moment. I don’t think it’s necessary.

    1. They aren’t similar in any way. Cristante is a DM that plays CD sometimes. What do you think, who is better, Kante or Messi? We usually compare random players

  3. We shouldn’t have ever sold him for peanuts years ago(6m) but getting him back is not worth 25m… 15 sure, 25 no.

  4. Speak like Yoda you did. LOL

Anyway, yes, I agree 25M too much for him. I do like him as a player but we can spend money more wisely than that.

  5. Big Noo..
I still remember, he left us because of his ego that wants to get starting spot which Milan can’t assure
Average player but act like a star, same as hauge, kerkez etc
