GdS: The 12 players Milan intend to build around and the three signings they are targeting

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to strengthen one position in their starting XI ahead of next season and a hopeful return to the Champions League, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan’s goal was and remains a top four finish, but the decline in recent weeks has brought everyone back down to earth and has shown that there is still work to do on the squad.

The paper explains that the strategy for the summer market will also depend on the final position, but the team has a core of players that will be built around. Those are Gigio Donnarumma, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Calabria, Theo Hernandez, Kessie, Bennacer, Tonali, Calhanoglu, Rebic, Leao and Ibrahimovic.

Alexis Saelemaekers will also be part of the Milan of the future, but the Diavolo are looking for a new starting right winger as well as an attacking midfielder to alternate with Calhanoglu and a centre-forward capable of not making the team miss Zlatan Ibrahimovic quite as much.
