GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Fiorentina – Krunic to start after all

Tonight’s clash against Fiorentina is a crucial one for AC Milan, who need to bounce back with a win after a tough period. Compared to the draw against Lecce, Stefano Pioli is set to make two changes to the starting XI.

There have been some conflicting reports regarding the XI in the last 24 hours. Sky Italia reported last night that Yunus Musah is expected to start in midfield. However, that might not be the case in the end, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below).

According to the pink newspaper, Rade Krunic will start after all alongside Tommaso Pobega and Tijjani Reijnders. The same midfield we saw against Lecce, in other words, and it’s likely that the Dutchman will have a more advanced role this time out as well.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Hernandez; Pobega, Krunic, Reijnders; Chukwueze, Jovic, Pulisic.

There aren’t many options in attack due to the absences, and so Pioli needs the backups to shine this evening. Christian Pulisic will undoubtedly be the leader in the attacking phase, playing in one of his favourite positions on the left.

The youngsters Francesco Camarda and Jan-Carlo Simic will also be on the bench, but it remains to be seen if any of them will be used.
