AC Milan boss Marco Giampaolo has admitted that there is a long road ahead for his side after their draw in preseason against Cesena.
Milan failed to impress in their final preseason fixture as they were held to a dull 0-0 draw by Serie C side Cesena.
The Rossoneri were looking for a confidence booster ahead of the opening game of the season in Udinese but they struggled to break down their resilient hosts.
“There is a long road to go,” Giampaolo told reporters after the game.
“We need a lot of physical effort to move forward. We need to pay attention to details which we are trying to do with all players.
“Some players have just two training sessions with us. At the moment the duo that gives me more defensive guarantees is Musacchio-Romagnoli. I’ve yet to see Bennacer properly.”
