Giornale: Milan retain interest in Benfica midfielder whilst accelerating for other targets

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan still think that Florentino Luis is a player worth pursuing although he is not where their efforts seem to be placed right now, a report claims.

As has been reported by Il Giornale (via Milan News), the Rossoneri have got a whole host of midfield targets and the list has only grown since it became clear that Sandro Tonali will be moving to Newcastle.

Right now, the club appear to be intensifying their efforts to sign Arda Guler from Fenerbahce. That means that other targets have to wait, but Benfica’s Luis is a player that Milan still want to keep a very close eye on.

He has been regarded as one for the future in recent years and many thought he may have made the move away from Portugal sooner than this, given he is now 23 years old and has been a senior player for a handful of years.

  1. He did make the move. He was at Monaco 2 years ago and at Getafe last year. Monaco had 18M option to buy, Getafe 10M. They didn’t use it. He basically failed in these 2 leagues.

    1. 💯, offers no guarantees and Seria midfielders are normally extremely technical, I don’t think this boy is.

I think the management are using as him for other transfer purposes
