Giornale: Milan retain interest in signing RC Lens star with Serie A experience

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan retain an interest in signing Seko Fofana from RC Lens as they look to add a midfielder before the end of the window, a report claims.

According to what Il Giornale (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, Fofana is still be in the crosshairs of the Rossoneri management to bolster the midfield given that a direct replacement for Franck Kessie has not yet arrived.

The Frenchman is a player that Milan have followed for some time having been linked in previous transfer windows, and Paolo Maldini is considering a move to try and bring him back to Italy.

One of the advantages of a move for Fofana – in addition to him being reliable from a physical point of view and having imposing physical characteristics – is that the player already knows the Italian league well, having played for Udinese.

However, there have also been reports of competition from the Premier League plus an asking price of €47m being touted as per a recent TEAMtalk report.

  1. €47 mil? Milan will think hundred of times before submitting a 4.7 mil offer. As I said, just let us end the market peacefully. No other player will come. Feels exactly like what we did on the last winter transfer.

  2. Seko fofana is very good player and will be good addition to Milan.
But 47million is impossible price especially at age:27.
Fofana wants to play champions league and he is already à leader in Lens.
For both fofana and Milan its good deal
15m is max that Milan can do.
