AC Milan are still evaluating the best possible head coach, sporting director and technical director combination, but Oliver Glasner’s name is high on their list.
La Gazzetta dello Sport write that several names are in flux in the race to be part of Milan’s new management, rising or falling in the feasibility index depending on the day. This is also because there are many variables that influence the outcome.

The financial proposal, any existing contracts, project approval and most importantly the potential approval of Ralf Rangnick, the hottest candidate for the technical director job. In other words, the person who should suggest the name of the coach.
It’s best if the coach is someone who marries his vision. This is why, despite some natural fluctuations, Oliver Glasner remains fairly high on the list of possible candidates (but keep an eye on Bayer Leverkusen).
Tuesday meeting
The manager who led Crystal Palace to three trophies, securing the Conference League title last Wednesday, is free to move elsewhere and is preparing to enter into discussions with Milan. Contacts and conversations have already taken place, but now that the season is over, decisions are needed.
This is a requirement not only for the club, which cannot plan without a head coach, but obviously also for the manager himself. The latest news points to a new meeting between the Austrian and the Rossoneri (namely Zlatan Ibrahimovic) next week.
The specifics will be discussed: plans, programs, incoming and outgoing transfers, and of course the personal financial side of things. So this will be a weekend of study for him: analysing the squad, identifying the areas of the pitch where he needs to intervene and the fate of the numerous players returning from loans.
He and his staff intend to arrive prepared for the meeting, with very clear ideas, so much so that they’ll draft a report that will be delivered to Milan. A professional way to approach a job interview. Glasner (but this applies to any candidate) knows how much the squad needs an overhaul.

It’s like waiting for the weekly episode of your favorite comedy.
You really get it right 😂😂😂😂
If we sign Glasner as coach and Maldini as technical director, I will start believing again. It’s morale, talent, direction injected at once, while being within our restrictive budget.
Morale for who for you?
You know what brings Morale? results and harmony.
This is not about names chasing but rather a structure for the future with clear responsibilities and accountability so we do not end up here again.
We should not rely on NAMES as it’s not scalable and sustainable
Maldini? Is there any talk about him going back home? 🙏🙏
Cardinale is lost boy
He will be lucky if exiting Milan bring him money back
We loved him at CPFC and would have liked him to stay, but he is also very outspoken and that can also be a negative at the club, if you trust in him, as he proved with us, he can deliver
Maldini and Glasner please !!!
IBRAHIMOVIĆ nije kapacitet da bi realno pametno i dobro sastavio novo vodstvo, a još manje sve to USKLADIO da funkcionira u pravom smjeru !!!!!!!!
No I did agree arne slot is preferably he can handle Milan squad and the system of 4-2-3-1 Acmilan his used to Arne slot can sort it out
I’m probably in the minority but I don’t think the squad even needs a major overhaul. Even if Tare did decimate it.
Guys who didn’t get enough playing time like Athekame, Ricci, Jashari, Odogu can hopefully step up. Alphadjo Cisse could be a great signing. Then there’s Chukwueze & Camarda to come back. Just because the world’s worst manager didn’t rate these guys doesn’t make them useless.
I think Nkunku can take a step up too. A mobile striker like Mateta, a LB & CB is needed though.
If we’re stuck with Chuck, I wouldn’t be against him as RW and Pulisic at LW. Mateta up the middle wouldn’t be terrible especially if Glasner comes. I just doubt this club will do anything smart or wise. They’ve burned us for 5 years now. Maldini and Glasner in front of Rangnick would be the most solid possible grouping but they’d need full backing from Cardinale to do what ever they wanted. I’m also not sure Maldini would want to deal with Rangnick, they are both guys that want majority control so Idk.
