There is some good news for AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli ahead of Friday’s game against Genoa as a key midfielder should return, a report claims.
This morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) brings a positive update on the condition of Ismael Bennacer, who missed the last league match against Torino on Sunday night due to muscle fatigue.
The paper claims that the Algerian midfielder – who has been working overtime in recent weeks – should in fact recover for Friday’s match against Genoa at San Siro in what is an absolute must-win game for Milan given the recent 0-0 draws against Bologna and Torino.
Bennacer is the player who scored the Rossoneri’s last winning goal as it was his volley that secured a 1-0 victory over Cagliari, and given the struggles of the attack in recent weeks the team need all the help they can get in the Scudetto race.
